Charleston, South Carolina 2018
My first professional workshop conducted by Hudson Henry and David Archer in a beautiful Charleston.
This 5-day workshop conducted by Hudson Henry, a Portland based professional photographer and David Archer, a local photographer and musician was an amazing experience. Meeting new folks from all walks of life and all across the USA with the same passion for photography and learning was amazing to say the least. This workshop covered all aspects, covering the fundamentals, planning a shoot, scouting settings and editing to name a few. The number of locations in and around the Charleston area was incredible which offered many opportunities to take great photos. The locations chosen for the students could not have been better, plus we were blessed with beautiful weather. The locations included: Historic Charleston, Center for Birds of Prey, Bulls Island, Folley Beach, Magnolia Cemetary, and the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge.

The Center for Birds of Prey was my first experience and lessons on how to photograph birds in flight. As we were organized to meet early, prior to the center being open to the public, and have the handlers present and fly the birds was special. Below are images from the shoot.
